Setting to true may have been intended at the release of Firefox 93 and later but this did not happen. In most cases this will restore YouTube playback. As such Youtube video pauses at every frame. Webrender should use OpenGL but this was not enabled.
As such I could still watch YouTube videos with Firefox 93 and later.Īs off right now the lets disable directx11 for real seems to have happend. However this did not implement as stated. Then sometime last year Firefox switched from directx11 to webrender. My Windows 7 installation is 13 years old. I am on Windows 7 with directx 11 Nvidia GTX 750 GPU.
If you used an old firefox installation so updates over updates for years. Note Windows 10/11 can run without a directx12 GPU so it may effect those people as well. It is a webrender issue for people on older hardware directx11 and or Windows 7.
